One firm database. Agents that work on it.
Every plan indexes your matters into a single permission-aware database — contracts, memos, emails, playbooks, closed deals. The agents read from it, act on it and write back to it, with a citation and an audit entry for every step.
Matter database
Every document your firm has produced, indexed with clause-level embeddings. Ethical walls and matter permissions enforced at index time and at query time.
Autonomous agents
Review, Draft, Recall, Interview and Simulation agents pick up work from your inbox, DMS or PMS and carry it to a partner-ready state.
Agent workflows
Chain agents into unattended workflows — intake → conflict check → review → redline → closing checklist — with approval gates where a lawyer must sign off.
Dynamic matter monitoring
Agents keep watching after the review is done: limitation periods, filing windows, counterparty changes, sanctions lists, regulatory updates and court dockets. When something moves, the affected drafts are re-reviewed and a partner is paged.
Per-client vaults
Each client gets an encrypted memory: facts, voice, drafting preferences, prior matters. Agents remember across years and associates. Never trained on.
Cited, audited, reversible
Every agent action carries its source clause, playbook rule and precedent, lands in an immutable audit log, and can be rolled back. Nothing leaves the firm without a lawyer's sign-off.

What nobody else's agents can do — because they don't have your database.
Everything below is derived from your own matter history, inside your tenant. The longer ZAAN runs, the sharper it gets — and none of it is shared with anyone else.
Counterparty intelligence
Every counterparty and opposing firm gets a negotiation profile built from your closed deals: their usual position on each clause, where they concede, how fast they respond. Permission-aware, never shared across tenants.
- Liability cap
- Opens at 12 months' fees · settles at 24
- Non-solicit
- Accepted 18 months in 3 of 4 deals
- Governing law
- Will not move off Swiss law
- Median turnaround
- 2.3 days per round
Negotiation Agent
Drafts the counter-redline and the cover email, scores each clause for likelihood of acceptance against the counterparty profile, and queues the round for a partner's approval. Nothing leaves without sign-off.
Obligations database
After signing, agents extract every obligation, renewal date, notice window and price escalator into a live database — and warn you before the auto-renewal, not after.
Portfolio impact analysis
A new regulation, a sanctions listing, a court decision: run it across every contract you hold and get the exposure in minutes, clause by clause.
Entity graph
People, companies, directors and UBOs resolved across every matter you've ever opened. Conflict checks and KYC run against the graph — before the first call ends.
Auto-filing Agent
Every incoming email attachment and DMS upload is classified, filed to the right matter, versioned and metadata-tagged — so the database stays complete without anyone filing anything.
Litigation early warning
The monitoring agent reads tone shifts and notice language in correspondence, flags a brewing dispute, proposes a preservation hold and asks Simulation for a first exposure estimate.
Hold proposed · exposure est. CHF 1.8M – 3.1M · partner paged
Regulation → playbook
When the law changes, the agent drafts the playbook amendment as a diff, re-reviews live drafts against it and sends the proposal to the responsible partner for one-click approval.
Frequently asked.
How do we get started?
Talk to sales. We onboard firms in cohorts so a success engineer can sit with your team for a week — building playbooks, connecting your DMS and tuning the agents on live matters. Request access and a partner-success lead will reply within two business days.
What does the Matter Monitoring Agent watch?
Limitation periods and filing windows computed per jurisdiction; counterparty changes in company registries and sanctions lists; regulatory and case-law updates relevant to clauses in your live drafts; court dockets for matters in Simulation. On a change it re-reviews the affected documents, updates the brief and — for critical events — pages a partner directly.
What counts as a "matter"?
A matter is one document family the Review Agent works on — the draft, its versions and its redlines. Re-running the agent after edits, comparing versions or asking Recall about it does not count again. Professional and Enterprise include unlimited matters.
What does "running unattended" mean?
Agent workflows pick up work from your inbox, DMS or PMS and carry it as far as your approval gates allow — a first-pass review, a proposed redline, a drafted brief. Nothing is sent to a counterparty or filed without a lawyer's sign-off, and every step is logged with its citation.
Where does our matter database live?
In your tenant, in the region you choose (Switzerland, EU, US or Singapore). Enterprise customers can run it on a dedicated tenant, on their own hardware or fully air-gapped. We retain nothing and never train shared models on it.
Is my data secure and confidential?
All documents are encrypted in transit and at rest using 256-bit AES encryption, in the region you choose. ZAAN is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant. We retain nothing after processing and never use your documents to train our models.
Do you offer access for legal professionals in developing regions?
Yes — this is central to ZAAN's mission. Through the Open Bar programme we provide complimentary access to qualified legal professionals, legal-aid clinics and public defenders in developing regions. Write to [email protected] to learn more.
