Empowering Legal Access for All

ZAAN is committed to democratizing legal services through technological innovation and community power

Equal Access to Legal Services

Artificial intelligence should help people access legal services more conveniently and economically, rather than reinforcing the monopolization of legal services. Unfortunately, current AI legal tools in the market primarily serve the wealthy, not the general public. ZAAN upholds the core value that: access to legal services should, like medical services, be considered a basic human right. Everyone should have equal access to legal services, rather than widening existing social disparities.

ZAAN was founded to prevent the monopolization of legal services. If future legal services become controlled by a few, only the economically privileged will be able to understand and utilize societal rules, leading to further concentration of legal-related services, as only they can afford the high costs of legal AI tools. This trend will place the majority at a disadvantage. Regrettably, few in the legal profession, including lawyers, are focused on or committed to addressing this issue.

ZAAN’s Mission and Founding Principles

Our Guiding Philosophy

As the saying goes, ‘The world is bustling, all for self-interest.’ Yet ZAAN asks: what can we leave for this world? Our answer: reducing inequality in legal services. Our core value is providing protection for all by mitigating gaps created by AI legal tools. We believe basic services must be free, profits reasonably controlled, and earnings partially reinvested in building a borderless legal community that enables affordable, targeted legal services globally.

Community Building and Future Outlook

Community building relies on effective incentive mechanisms through our legal knowledge marketplace. We encourage global participation in building and improving our knowledge base. Our vision is a borderless legal world with equal access to legal knowledge regardless of socioeconomic status. ZAAN democratizes legal services through technology and community power, creating a fairer, more inclusive legal environment.
